Unmasked workers (during a mask mandate) without uniforms driving personal vehicles arrive to blast music, fill the courtyard with debris, and overflow the garbage. Music and construction noise routinely starts before and extends beyond lawful hours. Nails and debris left all over property. Below are just some of the examples we were able to record.
Dec 3, 2020 at 9:18 AM – Drilling/sawing directly into bedroom wall
Construction noise blasts directly into our bedroom from shared-wall unit #2. This prevents Veronica from sleeping between overnight shifts as an ICU nurse during the height of the pandemic to put her and her patient’s safety at risk. Coastline is aware this noise keeps her awake but they still drill, hammer and saw into our bedroom wall in the mornings despite our pleas to perform renovations in shared wall apartment #2 in the afternoons to allow Veronica to sleep. Read the whole story here.

Dec 13, 2020 at 3:05 PM – Construction continues with no posted permit
No permit is visible but renovations in nearly every unit in the building began a month prior on Nov 15.
Dec 14, 2020 at 1:40 PM – Nails left on stairs
From the carport up to the apartment courtyard and our unit.
Dec 16, 2020 at 6:01 PM – Construction after legal hours
Legal construction hours end at 6 PM in Redondo Beach. This is a common occurrence under Coastline.
Dec 16, 2020 at 6:02 PM – Construction Permit finally posted
Permit clearly states that audible music will not be played yet music blasts keeping Veronica awake between shifts as an ICU nurse during Covid.
All renovated units are left unlocked, some with lights on, exposing an opportunity for squatters. Building begins to feel unsafe.

And there’s a discrepancy – Coastline’s lawyer stated in his intimidating email that the permit started in October but the posted permit says November 15.

Dec 18, 2020 at 3:47 and 3:48 PM – Directly in bedroom wall
But this time it’s at least in the afternoon as requested.
Dec 29, 2020 at 10:53 AM – Vibrating bedroom wall shakes apartment
Construction drilled straight into our bedroom wall continues to take place in the mornings to prevent Veronica from sleeping; an ICU nurse working overnight shifts during lockdowns.
Dec 30, 2020 at 9:19 AM and 9:20 AM – Scraping directly on bedroom wall

Jan 2, 2021 at 4:18 PM – Music blasts
Coastline workers constantly blast music that can be heard over our TV inside of our apartment. The music blasting also keeps Veronica up between overnight shifts as an ICU nurse during the height of Covid.

The most glaring recorded example of blasting music that was common for more than four months since mid-November 2020. Veronica continues to have trouble sleeping between overnight shifts at the Pediatric ICU during the height of Covid.
