7:57 AM – Floor torn up, bucket half full

During the previous day’s conference call, Jimmy Ordaz begrudgingly took the advice of Robert Soto of Ameriflood Environmental. Mr Ordaz promised to perform an invasive mold test — poking a hole through the living room ceiling to take a sample of the exposed molded area — before any other work was done in the unit. He lied.

We enter the unit to find no evidence of an invasive mold test.

The living room floor was removed down to the floor boards, but the bathroom floor and vanity were untouched; still torn open with exposed nails. Unbeknownst to us, the dehumidifier — which Robert Soto of Ameriflood Environmental identified as unable to kill mold — was set up over the living room’s floorboards and the wastewater bucket was half-full. We were forced to enter the building twice per day to empty the bucket for the threat of overflow as no Coastline worker would enter the unit for the next four days until the 21st.

If we hadn’t entered the unit to find the running dehumidifier, then it would’ve overflowed gallons of water into the living room floorboards for five days.

We can only assume that Coastline wanted to make it look like they were taking Robert Soto’s advice seriously by drying the wet areas identified as a threat for mold. But they failed to address the soaked living room walls and bathroom floor. And they continued to use an outdated dehumidifier incapable of killing the mold while forgetting about the overflow bucket.

The living room floorboards are soaked from the weeping walls that Robert Soto of Ameriflood Environmental identified as a risk for more mold.

During the previous day’s conference call, Coastline’s contractor stated that he was busy tearing out the bathroom vanity during the call. He lied. The bathroom vanity remained untouched.

9:49 AM – Chris emails a reasonable proposal in hopes of saving belongings

But the request goes unresponded for two days and then flatly denied before even more of our belongings are destroyed by Coastline during remediation.
